ENCHANTMENTS & SPELLS
While we love creative freedom here at Paradise, spells and enchantments effects are for the most part predetermined. Please refer to this list when creating a spell or an enchanted item, as it is necessary to list what type of magic you are using, as some are off-limits. Simply follow the easy format below when doing so.
Atomic Fireball: Tier 1 Pyromancy. The user creates a large fireball in their hand and then throws it much like a baseball. The projectile explodes on impact, causing minor fire damage.
Obviously, this is a fairly weak spell that could be bought with a minimal amount of Hacksilver. The more one is willing to pool into a spell or item, the better that spell or item will turn out. More information on this can be found in the shop threads. We expect you to be reasonable with these effects. A Cryomancy spell is not going to inflict a burn, and an Electromancy spell is not going to raise the dead.
All of the different enchantment types available for use are listed below, along with some examples of how they can be used. Please remember that these are only examples, and not limits. If you are confused as to what and what not a mancy can do, don't hesitate to ask a staff member about it.
Biological Magic
"Biological magic was created when life was created, being tied directly to one's body and lifeforce."
Biological magic cannot be used in enchantments.
Haemomancy Blood magic.
-- Examples include creating blood projectiles, controlling blood, healing with blood, and increasing blood pressure.
Osteomancy Bone magic.
-- Examples include creating bone weaponry, bone armor, and bone projectiles.
Vitamancy Healing magic.
-- Examples include healing wounds, reattaching limbs, and at higher levels, resurrecting the recently deceased.
Dermamancy Skin magic.
-- Examples include changing the color and density of one's skin, and creating skin weaponry.
Proteomancy Muscle magic.
-- Examples include increasing one's strength to superhuman limits or weakening another.
Natural Magic
"Natural magic has existed since the creation of the universe and the birth of time and makes up all natural forces."
Natural magic is the most freeform and has no special rules.
Pyromancy Fire magic.
-- Examples include creating fireballs, fire elementals, fire weaponry, and raising temperature.
Hydromancy Water magic.
-- Examples include summoning water, creating water clones, summoning tidal waves, and turning into water.
Cryomancy Ice magic.
-- Examples include freezing objects, creating snowfall, creating ice barriers, and lowering temperature.
Botanomancy Plant magic.
-- Examples include growing plant life, creating plant-based minions, and creating poisonous spores.
Terramancy Earth magic.
-- Examples include controlling sand, creating earthquakes, making rock weaponry, and creating rock slides.
Aeromancy Air magic.
-- Examples include changing the direction of wind, creating gusts and whirlwinds, and summoning forth tornadoes.
Typhomancy Smoke magic.
-- Examples include creating smoke clouds, being able to breath in heavy smoke, and changing the temperature of smoke.
Toximancy Poison magic.
-- Examples include creating corrosive acid, creating poisonous clouds, and having a venomous bite.
Photomancy Light magic.
-- Examples include creating flashbang effects, creating laser beams, and invisibility.
Umbramancy Darkness magic.
-- Examples include manipulating shadows, creating clones from darkness, inducing darkness, and creating shadow constructs.
Asteromancy Celestial magic.
-- Examples include summoning falling stars, meteors, and other celestial bodies, as well as harnessing celestial energy for laser effects.
Divinimancy Divine magic.
-- Examples include calling upon the Divine Force to heal, purifying the undead, or creating holy-based energy bolts.
Antidivinimancy Unholy magic.
-- Examples include calling upon the Defiled to induce curses and hexes, summon demons, and manipulate negative energy.
Necromancy Corpse magic.
-- Examples include summoning undead thralls, reanimating corpses, and creating corpse projectiles and weaponry.
Spatiomancy Space magic.
-- USABLE ONLY BY RANK 4 AND ABOVE. Examples include teleporting, creating pocket dimensions, creating portals, and causing rifts in reality.
Chronomancy Time magic.
-- LOCKED. Examples include stopping time, accelerating time, slowing down time, and traveling through time.
Soulmancy Life and death magic.
-- DEATH TITLE EXCLUSIVE. Examples include manipulating the souls in Tartarus, inflicting damage to souls, and harnessing raw soul energy.
Technical Magic
"Technical magic was invented by the living mind and the power of science, being more unnatural than the rest."
An item can only hold one Technical magic enchantment.
Sonicomancy Sound magic.
-- Examples include amplifying and deafening sound waves, breaking the sound barrier, and creating violent shockwaves and sonicbooms.
Electromancy Electricity magic.
-- Examples include draining electricity, summoning lightning and lightning bolts, manipulating magnets, and causing storms.
Ferromancy Metal magic.
-- Examples include creating summoned blades and weaponry, manipulating metal, and creating powerful shields.
Vectomancy Directional magic.
-- Examples include changing the direction of force to deflect damage, changing the direction of somebody's movement, and increasing one's directional force.
Kinetimancy Force magic.
-- Examples include creating kinetic barriers, creating kinetic blasts, and increasing or decreasing kinetic force.
Papyramancy Paper magic.
-- Examples include manipulating paper, sharpening and hardening paper, and creating paper constructs and weaponry.
Hyalomancy Glass magic.
-- Examples include summoning glass spears, creating glass projectiles, and creating glass weaponry.
Glucomancy Sugar magic.
-- Examples include summoning candy-based weaponry, turning objects into candy or sugar, increasing one's sugar levels, and creating candy constructs.
Cuisnimancy Food magic.
-- Examples include creating food from thin air, making something taste better, or creating food constructs and weaponry.
Alcohomancy Alcohol magic.
-- Examples include summoning alcohol out of thin air, increasing one's intoxication levels, and changing liquids into alcohol.
Pharmamancy Drug magic.
-- Examples include creating healing drugs, increasing adrenaline, and creating hallucinogens.
Benzinamancy Gas magic.
-- Examples include creating explosive gas, gas constructs, and increasing or lowering the temperature of gas.
Pathomancy Emotion magic.
-- Examples include changing and influencing one's emotions or another's emotions.
Gravimancy Gravity magic.
-- Examples include raising gravity, decreasing gravity, and creating small black holes
Radiomancy Radiation magic.
-- Examples include raising radiation, creating tumors, and causing radioactive reactions.
Technomancy Technology magic.
-- Examples include manipulating machines and hacking into mechanical systems.
Raw Magic
"Raw magic exists in everybody's spirit."
Raw magic acts differently and uses the STR stat for damage instead of MAG.
Raw magic Raw spirit and power of will.
-- Examples include increasing physical capabilities, harnessing inner energies as a means of attack, increasing damage dealt, and transferring energy to others.
Non-Magic
"Non-Magics were created by the evolution of the mind."
Non-magics cannot be used in enchantments.
Psychic ability Telekinetic and telepathic powers.
-- Examples include mental communication, thought placement, and telepathically moving objects.
Flight The art of flying.
-- Examples include... Flight.
Phasing The art of walking through solids.
-- Examples range from singular body part manipulation to the entire body.
Animal speak The art of speaking to creatures.
-- Examples include talking to birds, talking to reptiles, talking to mammals, talking to insects, talking to microbes...
Summoning The art of conjuring magic.
-- Examples include summoning weapons, summoning companions, and summoning creatures.
Shapeshifting The art of changing form.
-- Examples include body part transformation, entire form transformation, etc.
Spoken word The art of turning words to reality.
-- Examples include creating objects from spoken word or causing effects through spoken word.
Cloning The art of cloning.
-- Examples include cloning yourself or others.
God Magic
God Magic is off-limits entirely. God Magic is not chosen, but assigned based on God Title, and is vastly more powerful and precise than standard spells. Each title has one or two special spells that only they can use. They will be listed here as they show up on the site.
- Death's Embrace (Death) - Upon activation, the user can remove any number of souls from the target's body to effectively kill them. Must be touching the target to activate.
- Tartarus Reserve (Death) - All of the lost souls in Tartarus are directly connected to the user's own soul. This effectively makes them immortal unless if all of the souls in the afterlife are eliminated or if the link is somehow cut off.
- Deceit Has Many Forms (Loki) - The user can shape-shift into any animal form that they wish. The form will always have the same color eyes as the user, presenting a minor flaw.
- Jabberwocky (Loki) - The user can change any object they touch into a random object. What the object turns into is outside of the user's control and can often lead to some pretty hilarious things. More of a party trick than an actual power.
