The Hand of the Gods Shall be the last thing you see The sun was shining, there were no clouds in the sky, and the park was, oddly enough, fairly empty. She found that to be quite unfortunate, the joyful noises of the children and the beautiful background ambiance of the animals and nature of Asgard always lightening her mood. However, the peace was a nice change as well, no matter how unexpected it was. The smile on her face lightened, her thoughts going to her friend, who would surely love this peacefulness, and who had asked to meet her here. Maybe she knew it would be deserted today, which was why she asked? This, and many more, were questions Gem would never find the answer to.
As she wandered though the park, her thoughts drifted her attention completely gone from the world around her. She though about her old life back on earth, and how amazed she had been when she woke up here. A whole new world, a vicious domain that no one had expected. Her thoughts continued to wander, as did she, until she heard a squelch, her mind snapping back to attention, just a second to late. She stumbled forward, her foot catching something and sending her onto her face, a liquid seeping into her socks. She looked behind her, and let out a scream at the sight. A corpse, torn in half through the middle, the body lying asunder in the middle of the grassy field, the green sea around her coming to a halt at a small puddle of red and white liquid.
She quickly scurried away, the sight and smell nearly making her vomit. After a few minutes, she turned back around, her stomach less queasy, and looked at the corpse again. Through the bloodstained rags that covered a bare fraction of the body, she figured out how the person had died. Ripped upwards, through the middle. And judging from the slurry of liquid, she guessed what was used to rip her open. "Oh god, what a horrible way to die." Her voice escaped softly, a deep sorrow for the victim of this horrible crime building up inside of her, when her eyes made their way to the victims face.
"Oh no. Please no."
The friend that had come to meet her, the friend that had asked her to visit the park, with something important to tell her, lay in front of her, her body wrecked and her clothes torn to rags. Lying in a pool of blood, the sight of her friend having been denied any dignity in her death brought up an unfathomable rage, the deep sorrow only feeding the anger. "Who. Who. WHO DID THIS!" She screamed out, her eyes casting wildly about for any trace of the perpetrator of this crime.

Today seemed like a most wonderful day to take a stroll in the park. While, yes, most days weren't all that lovely with the looming realization that you were dead and rather few if any of those you knew while living weren't just helpless souls ripped from the chance to continue on as one of Lady Death's champions and now mere green globs, it was still quaint to walk around and get one's mind off such things. Íde gave a calm, soothed sigh as she lifted her head, allowing her face to bathe in the sunlight. That feeling of bliss was torn from her, however, as she felt an odd, rather powerful presence nearby. The fae's antennae perked up, bobbing up and down at constant intervals as she made a slow pace in the direction the energy seemed to pour from.
It wasn't long after she began to stray from her usual path that she stumbled upon a dreadful scene. A girl mourning the loss of her friend it seemed, the latter's corpse brutally ripped apart. There was blood everywhere, though the majority of what pooled around the mangled cadaver was a strange... white...
"Oh my god... Is that...?" The shorter girl gasped, her eyes widening at the sight, "Who... What could have done such a thing? Don't tell me it," Íde shook her head disgustedly at the thought, "ew, ew, ew, ew, eeeewwwwww!!!" She stomped her feet rapidly, her fists pressed beneath her cheeks. She would have ran away if not for the other, still frantically looking about for the perpetrator.
"Come ON! We should just get out of here, there's no sense in being next on the list of... of... WHATEVER did that!"

i'm like a head trip cause i'm only giving you things to joke about Genesis Park; what a boring place. There wasn't anything to do here but walk around, and what kind of psychopath wanted to do something like that? The breeze was slightly uncomfortable as well, and worst of all, they didn't serve drinks here! But at least there was food...sometimes.
These thoughts rolled through the kitsune's head as she took a bite out a fried turkey leg, something she had picked up from a vendor earlier. Well, she had picked it up from somebody who had bought it from the vendor, they looked fat enough as it was anyway. She did them a favor, really, and it wasn't like he was able to catch her. Hey, paying for things when you didn't have to was a good way to get killed; she needed that valuable and precious silver to buy important things like spells. And it was shiny, she happened to enjoy that factor of it as well, for whatever reason.
The fox woman's ears perked up at the sound of two feminine cries. What, did somebody leave a couple of babies unattended or something? It was nearby, and not really having anything better to do, Onigiri decided to travel to the source and see what all the fuss was about. She took a casual step around a tree, still working on her stolen turkey leg, and found what she was looking for.
Oh.
Well, that was disappointing. It was just a dead person. Or a corpse, or whatever. This kind of thing happened all of the time. In fact, now that she thought upon it, the kitsune remembered doing things like this to people before. That was how you had to survive, with all of these "Death Game" rules and whatnot placed. Rules sucked, but, survival was more important than trying to be a rebel or a hero.
And the whole "becoming a God" part did sound pretty rad.
"Nice kill!" She said in her rash voice, her yellow eyes darting from the human, to the fae, and then to the body. Yeah, something wasn't right here. "But I'm having a hard time believing that either of you two pansies did this." The kitsune didn't seem disturbed or frightened, but more rather intrigued and just a bit annoyed. Another chunk was taken out of the drumstick as she decided to add onto her last sentence, mouth still full of food, "So who did? They're prolly weak from the fight, and I'm all for easy gains."

Oh my, now this was definitely a sight. The elderly man peered down at the bunch from a tree, sitting comfortably on a high branch. They'd gathered around the corpse and chosen to remain there, it seemed. First mistake. He could appreciate the kitsune's guts in the matter, but couldn't she tell just how much damage the creature had done to that girl? Not to mention the fact that she found herself capable of eating while surrounded by what basically amounted to gallons of horse semen. Ugh, some had no shame, he supposed. "Listen here, girls, and listen good," he called down, laying back and picking at his ear with his pinkie, "Old Man Pluto might be many things, but he definitely isn't as foolish as you. Might be best if y'all skedaddle, lest ye meet the same fate, eh?" The hermit gave a wheezing laugh as he flicked the wax from the end of his fifth digit, a symphony of crashes echoing through the area on queue. Birds scattered from the area, flying away from a giant, lumbering form that made its presence known greedily. Just as criminals were known to return to the scene of the crime, this hiccuping, red-faced centaur had come to gaze at its handiwork once more. "I'd like you t'meet Lanzo. The brute ain't much to look at right now, but he's usually a big ol' teddy bear when he's not drunk off his arse." The centaur seemed to ignore Pluto completely, giving only a bullish snort before ripping the tree the old man was sitting in from the ground completely. The coot paid no mind, simply jumping from the branch and landing in another tree. He turned himself around nimbly with his hands before resting just as he had been before, "Centaurs are the worst had handling their liquor, you know." At that the battle seemed to be beginning, no matter any objections from either party. Lanzo hefted up the uprooted oak easily and, without so much as a delay, threw it towards the group with a loud whinny. "Lesson one, as always. Dodge."

The Hand of the Gods Shall be the last thing you see Gem didn't notice the person walking up to the scene, too lost in anger to notice a short girl walk over. When she heard the voice, she spun around, the word "Accel-" already out of her mouth, before she realized that this didn't seem like the culprit. It didn't seem likely, and she didn't really want to kill randomly, the small shreds of self control that she had left stopping her from attacking.
"I'm not fucking leaving until I kill whoever the fuck did this to my friend!" A burning rage added heat to her voice, her entire body keyed towards combat.
She turned to the shorter girl, looking at her properly. She looked, well, kind of useless. She didn't really think she would be much use in a fight, other than as a distraction. Before she could ask her anything, her attention was grabbed by a voice coming from their newest arrival. "Nice kill? Nice fucking kill? THIS WAS MY FRIEND YOU STUPID BITCH!" A guttural snarl escaped from her throat, and she glared towards the fox girl, before shaking her head and looking down towards her friend, a downcast look in her eyes.
"No one deserves to be killed like this. But whoever did this is getting killed by me. And I don't care how many souls they have left. I will hunt them down every single time they come back." Her eyes flicked to the old man sitting on the tree, and instantly dismissed what he said. But when the centaur arrived, and was introduced as Lanzo, she slowly turned to face it, her rage and sadness building up as the Centaur ripped the tree out, before being released in a primal scream.
When the old man told her to dodge, she didn't listen, opting for a more direct approach. She turned to face the tree being thrown at them, her fists coming up as if to punch the tree. Just before it hit the group, she cocked her arm back, before releasing it, her right arm flying towards the massive log, the arm seeming to blur out of focus from the speed behind the punch.
"ACCEL CLAW!"
A dark blue aura surrounded her arms, before a deep thrum was heard, a massive blunt impact from where her fist hit the tree. However, where her hand should have been, was a massive blue claw, curled into a fist where it made contact with the tree, her other arm thrown behind her, before catapulting forward with incredible force, smashing into the tree right beside her right claw, in an attempt to send it flying back to the centaur.

"I... I'm sorry, I...?" She began to stammer out as the taller girl began to scream at her. Everything else happened so fast, she was barely given any time to react, however. A kitsune stammering over, then the old man in the tree making his presence known. At first she would have thought the man was the attacker, had he not warned them of what was stampeding towards the group now. Her eyes widened in fear at the beastly centaur, unsure of whether to run or stay and help. Then, before she could make a decision, it had already hurled a tree towards the three.
Instinctively the fae threw up her arms, "Jericho!" And from her exclamation a heavenly light descended from the sky, a magnificent golden shield forming from within it ahead of her. Had she known the other girl was going to simply cleave through the uprooted tree with her fist, she may not have acted as quickly, but as one half of it came hurdling towards her and the kitsune she was glade she had. The force of the trunk being reduced greatly after making being stopped by Gem's claw made it quite simple for her spell to stop the remains of the oak, as well as continue existing.
"Thank you, my wall." Íde smiled kindly and rubbed the golden shield's back slowly. The construct seemed to shiver with delight from the praise, and floated a bit further ahead should the centaur come closer. "I really hope you two are more prepared for this fight than I am, physical attacks aren't exactly my specialty when defending." She looked over at both girls worriedly before turning her gaze to the mysterious old man who had positioned himself in yet another tree. Why wasn't he helping them?

i'm like a head trip cause i'm only giving you things to joke about "Feisty one, you are, maybe ya would want to join her?" The fox snarled, taking another bite from her drumstick. It was almost gone at this point, and her throat was beyond dry. There was nothing like a dry alcohol to fix that; and so the magician waved her hand a couple times and materialized a white and gold bottle of sake, her special Sacred Shrine Sake, and guzzled down about a quarter of the bottle before simply just throwing it down. She could always make more, anyway. "Hotheads gotta burn out eventually." She said, creating a small fireball in her hand.
However, before the magical girl could begin her battle with the brown haired bitch, an old man hopped down from a tree branch and began to speak in a calm and mysterious manner. She had a bad feeling about him, her kitsune senses or whatever were giving her all sorts of bad vibes. Or maybe that was the after taste of the Sacred Shrine, either way, she was on her guard. "We'll finish this later." She muttered, putting out her fire and turning towards the elderly gentleman.
"And just who the fuck do you think---WOAH SHIT!" Kobashi suddenly exclaimed as a raging centaur rampaged out of the brush behind the old man, throwing forth a tree trunk. Shit was going down, and fast, without hesitation, she dropped her drumstick and prepared to fight. Luckily, the stupid brunette jumped right at the tree trunk like cheap canon fodder and...wow, she actually cleaved the entire fucking tree in half. That was actually slightly impressive. The fae on the other hand showed herself to be more of a support mage, cute, but nothing that was gonna survive in this world. The kitsune smirked as the trunk hit the shield the child had laid out in front of them. "This will be fun."
With a show of acrobatics, the kitsune actually ignored the helpful barrier of the shield, and jumped on top of it, staring the man-horse-beast straight down. He wasn't the only one who got hops from alcohol; that sake she drank earlier had magical properties, which in turn activated her family heirloom, creating a chain reaction that greatly boosted her spell power. "That was pretty cool, but this is how it's done!" She yelled towards the claw-woman, before snapping her fingers, creating a flame at her fingertip. She then drew a star in the air, one that once complete, amplified in size by at least ten times; creating a burning five-pointed projectile. It wouldn't normally be this big, but thanks to her buffs, Nova Star was far more powerful. The projectile was so bright it slightly obscured the sun.
With the same cocky smile she kept on her face through the whole event, Kobashi pressed forward on the star with her hand, sending it flying forward at the drunken monster with great force. Taking a direct hit would cause massive fire damage and severe burns, so it wouldn't exactly be a fun walk in the park.

The great beast of a centaur gave a hellish roar as he was engulfed in flames by the kitsune, rushing her and crashing through the fae's holy shield. It stumbled from its drunken state, clawing at its flesh in agony. This was the end for Lanzo, he knew it, and there was no stopping this now. In his dying breath, his flesh and muscle seemed to melt from his bones, leaving but a charred skeleton of the behemoth in its place.
