STARTING CLASS INFORMATION
A Starting Class is essentially what your champion specializes in. Each class has its own associated trait, which can either benefit or hurt your build in the long run. Choose wisely; Starting Classes cannot be changed once they are chosen.
Accountant An individual whom is skilled in managing money.
- Miserly - The Accountant receives a 10% discount on purchasing items, and gains 10% more profit when selling.
Adventurer The standard adventurer class. Good for beginners.
- Adventurer's Headstart - The Adventurer starts with an additional 25 Hacksilver, but cannot buy anything but tier 1 magic, basic condition equipment, and poor quality potions at the beginning. After character creation, they are free to buy what they wish.
Alchemist A potions and enchantment expert.
- Enchanter's Discount - The Alchemist gets a 20% discount whenever they buy an item that has an enchantment or is a potion.
Antimage An individual whom is skilled in blocking magic.
- Mage Block - The Antimage receives a +4 bonus to BAR, but cannot buy Assault or Support spells.
Archer A ranged weapons expert.
- Ranger - The Archer receives a 20% discount on all ranged weapons and a +1 boost to DEX when using ranged weapons, but cannot wield anything but ranged weapons.
Archmage An expert in the arcane.
- Knowledge Overwhelming - An Archmage receives a 50% discount to all spells, but cannot buy anything higher than basic condition weapons and advanced condition armor.
Aristocrat A wealthy individual who is a member of the high-class society.
- Stinginess - The Aristocrat starts with an additional 50 Hacksilver, but cannot buy anything less than tier 2 magic, advanced condition equipment, and high quality potions.
Artist A crafty individual.
- Creativity - The Artist can recolor or redesign their items at any time free of cost. They cannot change the enchantment or stat bonuses, however.
Barbarian A brutal and savage warrior.
- Savagery - The Barbarian gains +2 STR when using a two-handed weapon.
Bard An individual who specializes in musical entertainment.
- Enchanting Song - The Bard receives a 20% discount when purchasing Sonicomancy type spells and enchanted items, and gains a +1 to MAG when using music based weapons.
Beserker A warrior who relishes in bloodlust.
- Bloodletter - The Beserker gains a temporary +1 to their STR when they slay an enemy in combat. This can only stack four times.
Beast Rider An individual trained to fight on savage mounts.
- Tamer - The Beast Rider can choose a mount during character creation, or any time after. Once the mount has been chosen, it cannot be changed, and has 5 points to distribute among stats. It has health equivalent to the characters, and can be used as a mount. It does not require mana to be summoned, but can only be summoned once per thread.
Black Knight A knight who has given up on honor and has turned to evil.
- Black Heart - The more damaged a Black Knight becomes; the more powerful they become. When moderately or heavily wounded, Black Knights gain a +2 MAG and STR bonus.
Brewer A merchant who specializes in alcoholic drinks.
- Happy Hour - The Brewer can create a consumable once per thread, free of charge. This consumable is as follows:
Beer: A strong tasting alcoholic lager. You feel a bit disoriented by the smell alone. (-1 MAG, -1 SPD, -1 BAR, +1 STR, +1 END for five posts.)
Cavalier A fast warrior who is a master of mounted combat.
- Charge! - The Cavalier gains +2 SPD and +2 END when mounted on a creature, vehicle, or otherwise. When unmounted, however, they suffer a -4 SPD and DEX penalty.
Chef An individual who has mastered the art of cooking.
- Chef's Surprise - The Chef can create a consumable once per thread, free of charge. This consumable is as follows:
Mystery Stir Fry: A dish composed of whatever the chef could find at the time. This restores 2 health per character level (2/4/6/8/10)
- Distracting Dance - The Dancer can activate this trait to draw all enemy aggro to themselves, and gains a +4 to speed for 2 turns. This can be used once per thread.
Desperado A guns specialist who further specializes in pistols.
- Sidewinder's Hand - A Desperado receives a +2 bonus to DEX when wielding pistol type firearms and gains a 25% discount to all firearm weapons. However, they cannot wield any other type of weapon. Additionally, they are restricted to lighter armor, and cannot purchase any armor with a condition of Legendary.
Doctor An expert in medical sciences.
- Healing Hands - The Doctor gains a 20% discount when buying Vitamancy spells or enchanted items, and a +2 MAG bonus when using Vitamancy spells.
Exorcist A holy priest who fights for the divine force.
- Praise The Force - The Exorcist receives a 20% discount when buying Divinimancy type spells and enchanted items, and gains a +1 to MAG when using weapons with a Divinimancy enchantment.
Fisherman A merchant who specializes in fish.
- Sealegs - The Fisherman receives a 20% discount when buying Hydromancy type spells and enchanted items, and gains a +1 to DEX and STR when using a spear.
Gambler A high-roller who relies on luck to cheat others out of money.
- High Roller - Mysterious and lucky things sometimes happen to the gambler.
Heretic A priest who specializes in negative energies.
- Dark Powers - The Heretic receives a 20% discount when buying Antidivinimancy type spells and enchanted items, and gains a +1 to magic when using a weapon enchanted with Antidivinimancy.
Hellguard A fearsome dark knight that specializes in shields.
- Obsidian Blockade - The Hellguard gains +2 END when wielding a shield, and a 10% discount on shields.
Inventor A genius in new age technology.
- Spark Of Inspiration - The Inventor receives a 20% discount when buying Technomancy type spells and enchanted items, and gains a +1 to magic when using a weapon enchanted with Technomancy.
Jester A clown that makes a fool out of themselves for entertainment.
- Unwanted Attention - In battle situations with NPC enemies, aggro will always be favored to the Jester no matter what is happening. However, they gain a brief +1 END boost when they are attacked.
Kickboxer An individual with a highly trained body.
- Martial Artist - The Kickboxer cannot use any weapons but their fists, but gain a bonus to only using their fists. A Kickboxer's fists have a stat modifier of +2+Rank STR, meaning that a Rank 1 would be +3, and Rank 2 would be +4, a Rank 3 would be +5, a Rank 4 would +6, and a Rank 5 would be +7.
Knight A warrior who believes the best offense is a good defense.
- Stonewall - The Knight gains +2 END when in a full set of armor.
Legionary An individual trained to fight in groups.
- Power of the Legion - The Legionary gains a +1 bonus to every stat when they are traveling in groups of two or more allies, but lose -1 in every stat when they are alone.
Loser The Loser isn't good at anything. Not recommended for beginners.
- Pathetic - The Loser starts with a -1 in every stat and no Hacksilver. They cannot use any basic magic besides for Raw Magic.
Magical Girl A class that surprisingly isn't exclusive to females.
- Super Duper Magical Affinity - The Magical Girl starts with +2 MAG but -1 STR.
Mechanic An individual who knows a deal about machines and metal.
- Grease Monkey - The Mechanic receives a 20% discount to Ferromancy type spells and enchanted items, and gains a +1 to magic when using a weapon enchanted with Ferromancy.
Merchant An individual who knows a great deal about the market.
- Barter - The Merchant gains 100% of the items price when they sell, no matter how much the sell it for.
Ninja An assassin who can move in complete silence.
- Assassin's Oath - The Ninja moves completely silently no matter their equipment. Additionally, they receive a 15% discount to blades.
Priest An individual who believes in healing over fighting.
- White Mage - The Priest receives a 30% discount to Vitamancy, Electromancy and Divinimancy type spells, and gains a +2 to magic when using a weapon enchanted with one of these, but cannot use any other types.
Psychic An individual with a highly trained mind.
- Mental Boost - The Psychic gains a +2 MAG bonus when using Non-Magics, but cannot use True Magics.
Puppeteer An entertainer who specializes in puppets.
- Opening Act - The Puppeteer is allowed one small puppet companion. It acts as a summon, and is given 5 points to distribute between its stats. It's health modifier is equivalent to the characters, and can equip a single one handed weapon. It does not require mana to be summoned, but can only be summoned once per thread.
Runner An individual who loves running.
- Accelerated Pace - The Runner starts with +2 SPD but -1 END.
Samurai A warrior trained to be a one man army.
- Bushido - The Samurai is well-trained in the art of the blade and gains a +2 bonus to END when using sword-based weapons.
Scholar An individual who reads often.
- Catalogue - The Scholar receives a 15% discount when buying Magical type weapons.
Shitlord An individual who thinks they have less than the Loser. Usually peasants. Not recommended for anybody.
- Hypertrigger - The Shitlord takes more damage than other classes.
Soldier An individual trained for combat.
- Grunt - The Soldier gains +2 STR and DEX when wielding rifles and combat knives.
Vampire A classic stalker of the night.
- Vampirism - A Vampire has Vampirism. This means they cannot walk in direct daylight or light without suffering a -1 to all stats. However, when they walk at night, they receive a +1 bonus to all stats. They receive a 10% discount to Umbramancy, Haemomancy, and Antidivinimancy as well.
Warlock An individual who dabbles into black magic.
- Dark Arts - The Warlock receives a 30% discount to Antidivinimancy, Electromancy, and Necromancy spells, and gains a +2 to magic when using a weapon enchanted with one of these, but cannot use any other types.
Weaponmaster A weaponmaster is a master-at-arms and can use any weapon with great skill.
- Born By Steel - A Weaponmaster receives a 50% discount on all weapons, but cannot buy anything higher than tier 1 spells and high quality potions.
Werecreature A werecreature is cursed with the form of an animal.
- Lycanthropy - A Werecreature has Lycanthropy. They gain a free shapeshifting spell to be used for their beast form.
White Knight A knight who fights for pure and noble causes.
- Pure Heart - The White Knight fights to protect, and gains a +5 END and BAR boost when shielding an ally from an oncoming attack.
Wizard An individual who is well versed in magic.
- Mysticism - The Wizard gains +2 BAR but -1 END.
