There is an old legend in the province of Sado. It is a cautionary tale. A tale about a man and his desire for that which was beyond his reach. He was just a simple retainer under the Shimazu Family. A great swordsman, victor in many tournaments during his life. This swordsman served with distinction in the hattamoto of the daimyo. He fought and earned glory for the clan. However, he had a weakness as all men do. He lusted after the daughter of his lord. One day, by the sea, he saw the lady all alone. He professed his feelings for her, but she refused him. In his rage he drew his blade against her. Blinded by his own anger he struck her down. Once the man realized what he had done he became over wrought with guilt and shame. He cast his sword into the sea and charged into the surf himself. He walked into the deep water and vanished beneath the surface, swallowed by the ocean. It is said, that when man's vices haunt him and tempt him to make poor decisions they should very careful near the sea. For the man became a demon and waits on the port of fools and betrayers to cross his path. When they do he cuts them down and drags them into the sea, never to be seen again.

Description: (Standard) On the right side of Shimazu no-Oni chest is branded the ancient symbol of a long lost dojo. The school that he taught at in life is now branded in his flesh for eternity in death

Deadly Accuracy: (Raw Magic) : The mark on his chest is a piece of his own mind. It is his training and mastery. The first part of the Mark is about striking your foes where it will hurt the most. Whenever Shimazu no-Oni uses a Raw Magic spell his next attack gets Rank X 2 piercing.

Kurozanten-ryu Master: (Raw Magic) : The next part of the mark reminds the Oni of the lightning fast and overwhelming style he masted in life. Whenever Shimazu no-Oni performs a successful counter while wielding a two-handed sword he can knock the opponent prone. Foes knocked prone can not attack in their next post instead they must spend it recovering.

Description: The Ki-AI is a concept mastered earlier in all styles of kenjutsu. It is simple. One shouts and often stomps their front foot before bursting into action. The idea is to startle your foe and psych yourself up for action. The spirit of Shimazu no-Oni has taken this to a new level. When he executes a Ki-AI his aura rumbles the air around him and pushes him to perform feats of speed unthinkable at first. This can be used any time as a reflexive reaction, even to a first strike attempt. Shimazu no-Oni adds his STR onto his SPD for the remainder of the post the spell was used in.

Name: Steel Serpent Strike
Spell Type: Tier 2, Assault (Raw Magic)
Description: The Oni channels his force and inner strength into a single strike that fly's forth in a blurr of speed nearly untraceable by the human eye. The strike is usually a upward stroke performed after closing a small amount of distance. When he activates this technique his moves in a blur to the most perceptive and seems to vanish and reappear to those less astute. For the next basic attack that Shimazu no-Oni performs adds his Speed trait onto his DEX stat and can not be evaded with a dodge maneuver.
